Illustration for picture books
First time around I began in animation, making short films (on film) for Channel4, following a residency in the Museum of the Moving Image. This launched me into animation studio life and I worked on a range of projects from TV series, commercials and all sorts of hand drawn moving image projects.
Then came motherhood, which took me off in many unexpected and varied directions ..and away from London. I think I read nearly every picture book available at the time for my young ones – a few had to be bought again as they fell apart through over use! (Namely – You Choose, Nick Sharrat and Pippa Goodhart – and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury)
So here I am on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon UK – running my now teenagers around, and looking ahead – I am reviving my creative career, this time in illustration.
I have a lovely agent Lucie Luddington who Im delighted to say landed me my debut, two book deal as author, illustrator with Big Picture Press in 2025.
